Daniel Okafor
Daniel Okafor is the senior editor of Car Insurance After DUI. Before writing about insurance he worked for six years as an auto liability claims representative, where he handled bodily injury and property damage files and saw first-hand how a single conviction changes a driver's options.
He joined the site at its launch in 2023 to build a reference that treats readers as adults: no scare tactics, no promises about price, just a clear map of what happens to a policy after a DUI and what a driver can do about it. He writes the rate, filing and coverage guides and reviews every page for accuracy twice a year.
Daniel lives in Denver, Colorado. When he is not re-reading state financial-responsibility statutes he is usually on a bike in the foothills.
